AML/CFT Masterclass: STR Management

Friday, February 22, 2019
9.30 am to 4.00 pm

South Lobby, Ground Floor, Centre One, World Trade Center, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai

Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) are the foundational inputs provided by banks and financial institutions to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and remain the cornerstone of an effective AML/CFT programme. However, the FIU and law enforcement agencies have to allocate limited resources to sort through thousands of STRs every year, necessitating the need for clarity and accuracy in presenting data fields as well as in writing compelling grounds of suspicion.

Fintelekt’s AML/CFT Masterclass on STR Management aims to provide guidance to AML analysts on the prerequisites of effective STRs, how to build the grounds of suspicion, and the commonly made mistakes that reduce the efficacy of an STR.
