Vikas Tandon

Vikas Tandon is an executive with 27 years of experience in banking, of which 17 years has been dedicated to AML/ KYC /CFT, In-Business Control, Fraud Risk, Compliance and Operational Risk Management. Until recently, he was the global head for the Citi institutional client group, operations risk and control, primarily engaged in compliance and banking related advisory functions.

He has designed and implemented programs, policies and procedures for enhanced operational efficiency and standardisation, coupled with experience of working in the banking sector across Africa, Asia, Europe and the USA, within Consumer and Institutional Banking departments, International Compliance, Audit and Training.

During his career, he has networked with regulators across Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Vikas has written a book on KYC/ AML / CFT, and has authored several articles in journals published by professional institutes and financial magazines, with the ability to train banking professionals, senior executives and board members.

Vikas has been an empaneled trainer with Fintelekt since 2022 and has successfully delivered several Fintelekt training programmes for regulators, FIUs, banks, and other financial institutions across the region.

Charan Rawat

Charan Rawat was the Head of Compliance at Rabobank, India before being appointed the CEO. He is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of experience in banking with large international banks such as Barclays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, ANZ Grindlays Bank.
He started his career with the State Bank of India Group, followed by a stint at Vijaya Bank where he oversaw and managed corporate credit relationships with some of the largest industrial names in India. He has worked across Retail, Corporate and Investment Banking, Wealth Management in multiple functions viz. Compliance, Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Relationship Management.
He is an MBA and a qualified lawyer by education. He is now pursuing his PhD in Law with focus on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Regime in India.

Julia Chin

Julia Chin, aka Compliance Blackbelt, is a multi-lingual financial industry professional with over 25 years of experience. She is a subject matter expert on Correspondent Banking, Securities Services and most recently Fintech in the areas of Financial Crime, Regulatory Compliance and Fraud Management. She is a member of the APAC Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime (“GCFFC”) Secretariat and a member of the Global Digital Finance (“GDF”) AML Working Group. Having worked in consultancy, global banking and regulatory entities, which include Standard Chartered Bank, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, KLOFFE and KPMG, she has considerable experience in implementing and designing standards of control frameworks in Asia and the Middle East.
