Workshop on Cyber-security and Fraud Risk Management in Kathmandu

Fintelekt organised a workshop on Cybersecurity & Fraud Risk Management in Kathmandu, Nepal on June 15, 2023.

Participants from banks, insurance companies, clearing houses, money exchange companies and fintechs attended the workshop, which was taught by Harshit Baxi, Trainer, Fintelekt and Director, EisnerAmper.

The workshop was focused on equipping the participants with the necessary knowledge of cybersecurity fraud risks, as well as practical strategies for managing and reducing these risks by fostering a strong risk culture throughout the organisation.

Harshit covered the impact of various types of fraud and cybersecurity risks and the trends in global markets. He also discussed effective management and risk mitigation strategies along with red flag indicators, audit and investigation techniques and anti-fraud measures that are pertinent for financial institutions given the current financial crime environment. The use of case studies and group activities encouraged interaction and facilitated practical knowledge sharing on the topic.
